BSH had already mapped a wide range of potential areas based on foresight, technology trends, and market signals. To translate this landscape into a clear focus for its global innovation strategy, the challenge was to consolidate the options, sharpen them, and prioritize the most promising opportunities. This will enable BSH to ensure focus, alignment and steer its global innovation strategy.


Approach
Using a structured innovation research process, we:
- Reviewed and synthesized BSH’s initial focus area mapping
- Defined assessment criteria
- Developed executive-ready fact sheets for 13 focus fields, including a.o. market trends, consumer insights, strategic impact and regional relevance
Outcome
13 clearly defined Innovation Focus Fields with opportunities along three innovation horizons:
- Core
- Adjacent
- New business
